A Magical Day at Waldo’s Secret Garden: An Artist’s Perspective

This past weekend, Waldo’s Secret Garden transformed into an enchanting haven for art lovers, offering a breathtaking fusion of creativity and nature. As an artist, experiencing this event for the first time was truly inspiring—made even more special by sharing it with my son.

The setting was nothing short of magical. Towering old trees, intricate ironwork, and the historical charm that Waldo’s is known for created the perfect backdrop for an immersive art experience. The landscape itself felt like a work of art, with the natural beauty seamlessly complementing the stunning pieces on display.

I was fortunate to hear about the event from my dear friends Malinda and Debbie, who were volunteering. Their enthusiasm set the stage for what turned out to be an unforgettable day. The caliber of the artwork was exceptional—each piece reflecting the talent and dedication of the artists. It was exhilarating to walk through the exhibit, absorbing the textures, colors, and stories behind each creation.

Exploring the old house added another layer of intrigue to the experience. The blend of history and art captivated the crowd, drawing spectators into a space where time seemed to slow down. As an artist, I left feeling recharged and inspired, grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a thoughtfully curated event. About the Event

In 2024, Waldo’s Secret Art Walk attracted nearly 3,000 patrons. The 2025 edition will feature an outstanding lineup of artists showcasing work in:

Additionally, note cards and illustrated books will be available.

Parking Information

Paid Parking: Field at 5000 12th Street – $2 per car
Free Street Parking: Available along 12th Street and surrounding neighborhoods.

Event staff will be present to provide guidance to parking areas.
